Over the Easter long weekend, my friends and I went to Werribee Zoo. It was great fun and loved how close we got to the animals in the zoo.

Melbourne Flower Show

The week before Easter, we went to the Melbourne Flower Show. It was a week long event showcasing the best in gardening and flower arrangements. We picked up a few succulent cuttings and they are now settling nicely into our garden.

Australian Grand Prix

We went to the Australian Grand Prix last month when it was on and it was a real experience. I enjoyed myself a lot and can’t wait to go again next year.

New territory

I am finally here in Melbourne with a successful move. It was a little daunting moving into a building with no lift but hey we did it and settling in very well. Despite being a keen photographer, I haven’t actually documented my move. Hahaha… All I can say is, that everything is still a bit of a mess but at least there are clear surfaces.

I’ve settled back into work in the new office and getting acquainted with “new” colleagues (in quotation marks because we talk a lot on the phone and seldom see one another in person). I’m loving the city and exploring new places. My family and friends have been taking me to all sorts of cool nifty cafes and spots I’m absolutely loving it. The weather has been pretty erratic but I can safely say I prefer it to the Queensland heat.

I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone. 12WBT Round 3 is over and I am sad to say I couldn’t finish it off with a bang. Primarily because I had 2 weeks of moving. I now have a gym and tried out a class the other night and loved it. I want to go back for more! I’ve booked into a consultation so it will be interesting what they can come up with. Plenty of things to get up to in the new year and I look forward to resetting goals and getting back into training. I seriously have been missing it.

I’m here still but been busy with work and moving. Still on the program and trying my best to get all the workouts in. I will try to post at the end of the round and summarise how things went. Not so great this round but I think I have done my best and it is a continually learning process. I’ve decided I won’t do the next round. I need a break and a new perspective on life.

This new ad from Dior takes inspiration from video games of old. I love the clever use of their cosmetics to form the basis of the games.
